ABOUT

Scharen Design Studio is a landscape architecture and planning firm that provides design services for residential, commercial, and public clients. The studio's mission is to create places that are culturally relevant, environmentally responsible, and a delight to inhabit.

After years of working with cultural landscapes, many situated in environmentally sensitive areas, the idea formed to create a studio that nurtures both cultural and biological aspects of place. Our studio works on restoring ecological health and expressing landscape stories that may have been unheard or neglected for years. We create habitat for biodiversity and habitat for humans to connect to their heritage and community. We come to every project in a spirit of collaboration and curiosity.
